Relate To People Not Problems

New year, Same mission. World peace that is...

Might as well dust the blog off and reroute the entire vibe of this place. From this point when you see a post of mine, read it as a journal prompt, more like an open diary for the masses.

Anyway, I was going through a certification course and though I have been in this field for over 20 years, something new registered when I read the following statement. It could have everything to do with the new perspective I have for things in life, especially the challenges faced on a journey of self improvement. Just consider the way we are accustomed to interacting with one another, how desensitized the world has become, the way society has lacked in empathy tremendously over the past few years.

If one would take a step back and put themselves in the shoes of others, perhaps the world's challenges wouldn't seem so hard to overcome. With understanding comes room to grow, You may not agree, or you may not even be able to relate but we're also human and you can mist definitely "feel" where another is coming from(understanding their perspectives) if you chose to.

This is the passage that inspired this current thought, read it and let me know what you think?

Relate to Feelings, Not Events

"While walking a mile in a person’s shoes is helpful, relating to every experience is near impossible. For example, maybe a person is confused about something that seems obvious to you, and your first thought is: “How could someone not get this?” But instead of running with that initial reaction, pause and remember a moment when you felt a similar emotion. Relate to the feelings, and understanding will come naturally"

Try understanding people not their problems, and that alone will provide space for the universe to help solve them.
